Participation Program
The mission of Seattle Tang Soo Do is to provide quality Martial Art classes to all who have the desire to learn the art of Tang Soo Do.
The goal then is to encourage participation in the study and practice of Tang Soo Do and to develop commraderie and spirit throughout our organization.
With this goal in mind, P3 was created.
P3 rewards those who choose to actively participate both inside and outside of the Do Jang.
How It Works
Every student who is registered for class and has a current STSDA Membership is eligible to earn points.
Points can be earned for attendance in class, local STSDA events, and STSDA associated event which require travel.
Points can also be earned for supplies and equipment ordered through the STSDA.

Redeeming Your Points
Points can be redeemed for,
- Supply and Equipment purchases through the STSDA
- Belt Test Fees
- Annual Membership Dues
A minimum of 500 points is required to redeem points.
Point Schedule
5 points On-time class attendance. Student must be available and ready to line up.
(clean, unwrinkled Do Bahk with properly affixed patches, correctly tied belt, and manual.)
2 points Late arrival (not ready when called), early departure, or any of the above conditions not met.
100 points Participation in local STSDA events
(Gup Tournament, School Picnic, Seminars, Student Awards Banquet)
500 points Participation in Out-of-Town STSDA events
(Summer Camp, WDU Tournament)
1 point Per dollar spent toward the purchase of supplies or equipment through the STSDA.
LOSS OF POINTS
Some or all points can and will be forfit for the the following.
- Attitude: Disrespectful behavior towards fellow students, Instructors, and/or property.
- Conduct unbecoming of a STSDA student. (fighting, illegal activities, etc.)
- Missing 20 consecutive classes (1 quarter/3 months).
- Points expire after 2 years (IE points earned in April 2009, expire the end of March 2011)
